OVG looks a little different this summer. Most of the simulator space has been turned into a mini golf popup, with one regular hitting bay still available. We stopped in during that summer setup, and the staff were the part of the visit that stood out most.
This review reflects the summer 2026 setup at Okanagan Virtual Golf in Kelowna. The mini golf popup is seasonal, so the number of regular simulator bays may change again after summer.
The Summer Setup
OVG has changed things up for summer 2026 by turning most of its simulator area into a mini golf popup. If you are going specifically to hit balls, there is currently one regular hitting bay available.
That is the biggest thing to know before going. The summer setup is different from the normal simulator layout, so it is worth checking what is available if your plan is a dedicated golf session.
The Staff
The staff were the strongest part of our visit. Everyone we dealt with was friendly, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. It did not feel like people were simply waiting for a shift to end. They seemed engaged and comfortable answering questions.
That matters at an indoor golf venue. A good setup is useful, but having people around who understand the space and are willing to help makes the visit much easier.
The Space and Bar
The venue was clean and inviting when we visited. Nothing felt neglected, and the space had a comfortable feel even with the summer mini golf setup taking over most of the simulator area.
The bar was another strong point. The drink options were excellent and gave OVG more of a social feel than a basic practice-only simulator room. There is no full-service kitchen, but they offer snacks and local frozen pizza.
What Works and What to Know
- Friendly staff
- Knowledgeable team
- Clean and inviting space
- Excellent drink options at the bar
- A regular hitting bay is still available during the summer popup
- Most simulator bays are being used for mini golf during summer 2026
- Only one regular hitting bay was available during our visit
- The setup is seasonal and may change after summer
Who It's For
OVG makes sense for someone who wants an indoor golf stop with a more social feel. The bar and staff are a big part of the experience. During the summer popup, golfers looking for a dedicated simulator session should check bay availability first.
We would go back. The summer setup limits the regular golf space, but the staff, clean venue and bar made a good impression. If you are going mainly to hit balls, confirm the regular bay is available before you head over.
